Florida & Alabama
After 7 weeks of skiing, we were ready to thaw out, so we headed to Florida hoping for some heat. We were delighted to find wonderful state parks and so many ways to have fun on the water. We were also thrilled to see Florida wildlife—manatees, alligators, and crocodiles!
Gulf Coast & Ichetucknee Springs
The beaches on the Gulf Coast were so lovely, lots of fine, white sand. And Ichetucknee Springs was the most exciting paddle we had — alligators and manatee, Florida style!

Camping in the Everglades was beautiful but put us on edge, the rustling in the bushes could be a lot more scary than a squirrel there! The Keys were lovely as well; we paddled, swam, and even did some amazing snorkeling.
